what website is best to find driving directions without the use of freeway (can’t use freeway..too scared) tried mapquest, but still wants more options…

Google maps works great.
Enter you directions and let it set the route. Once it’s up, at the top of the driving instructions is a button to “avoid highways”. Click that and it will recalculate avoiding limited access roadways (freeways). You can also click and drag the route if there’s some particular route you think you’d like to follow. You can enter multiple destinations if you’re planning stops along your route as well.

See site below, add a couple of hours to what it says to allow for the inevitable road construction or delays. You will also need a Guia Roji, the Mexican road atlas. Can buy it at large book stores or on Amazon.com. You will also need a car permit and Mexican car insurance.

Get directions to Nogales, AZ. From there cross the border and you have a 12 hour drive, straight down highway 15 to Mazatlan.

Where or How can I find exact driving directions from the States to Honduras?
I am planning on driving to Honduras from Tennessee, with a fluent Spanish/English speaking husband, & have read several different versions on driving to Honduras. I would like to be able to find exact directions, travelling on the Pan American Hwy. through Mexico & then onto Honduras. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

If you are a member of AAA, they can give you driving instructions through Mexico to the Guatemala border, the longest stretch of the trip. If you are not a member, it might be worth joining. You can get an international drivers license and other materials useful for travel from them. They can also advise you about insurance, a significant issue when driving south of the US border.

Once in Guatemala, the Panamericana is really the only choice, for the coastal road heads into El Salvador. It carries a great deal of traffic and can be quite chaotic. I have not driven in Honduras, but I understand the roads are not very good. It is probably best to stay in Guatemala as long as possible before crossing the border–a function of where you are going in Honduras (only to Copan, to San Pedro Sula, to Tegucigalpa, etc.).

I have a problem, I don’t know how to give driving directions between to random points inside a map of my city. If I use GDirections() object of Google Maps API, it shows only directions of a few known streets and objects in my city, and not for all 
Can someone help me please to figure it out.
